Here is the summary for Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team Season 6 Episode 5: Makeovers:
It's week three of training camp, and the rookie candidates are brought in for their DCC "Makeovers." They're given a new look with a hair and make-up revamp and are transformed into the DCC mold. At this week's first rehearsal, group leaders are announced, and now the rookie candidates will perform alongside the veterans in their chosen groups.
When one rookie reveals her poor eating habits, Kelli assigns all the rookies to attend a nutrition seminar with Jay Johnson. The rookie candidates' poor food choices are quickly called out by Jay who sets them on the right course to eating as a dynamic performer should. At the next rehearsal, Kelli and Judy are expecting to see major improvement in all the rookies with the dance routines. The atmosphere is tense and emotional for all, but cuts must be made. Three candidates are called into Kelli's office. Will any one of them be told, "You are not a fit for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders"?
Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, is once again the venue for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders auditions. Five hundred candidates with dreams of making the 2011-2012 DCC team arrive before sunrise for the preliminaries including several familiar faces cut in training camp last year. For DCC director Kelli McGonagill Finglass, DCC choreographer Judy Trammell and Executive VP Dallas Cowboys Charlotte Jones Anderson, these auditions are extremely important because they have an unprecedented number of slots to fill.
Fifteen girls retired from last year's squad leaving only 18 DCC veterans committed to returning this year. After the grueling preliminary auditions, 122 young ladies are invited to compete at semifinals the following weekend. At semis, the candidates struggle to learn a powerful DCC dance routine and the signature DCC kick line routine. The auditions come to an end with 69 girls invited to Finals auditions. Now they are one step closer to Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Training Camp.
